Lomie and Her Flowers
A memory of Lomie caring for her flowers. They were pretty little things all right --- but to put so much time into them, depending on you to water them, feed them, weed them, and whatever else flowers need. They were not worth it to me; I could never be a flower gardener.... Lomie could never have been otherwise.

I'm so grateful to have flowers that came from Aunt Lomie. My yard is full of the Mama Tucker Phlox that she passed on to Mother and then to me. Last year I had some white petunias pop up suddenly from seeds she had sent me decades ago. I also have some Autumn Joy Sedum that she said she had at your home in Indiana. But even without those flowers I'll always have the memories of her and her flower filled boonies!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these photos and your sweet memories of Sweet Aunt Lomie!
